| The
stripes on this 1982 Kawasaki KZ1000LTD were originally designed by the
OEM as 2 individual stripes which were overlapped to join both sections
on each side of the fuel tank and side panels. This makes application
and alignment of stripes extremely difficult because these thin stripes
can separate from each other during the application, causing uneven spacing
or other issues. We have come up with a solution. Our stripes are designed
so each section is"one stripe" printed in red and gold with
black in between and approximately 1mm on the outside edges. The body
parts are black so the graphics still look like two individual stripes
when they are applied, but they are more durable and much easier to work
with. The decals must still be applied as 2 pieces as per OEM specs but
working with a single stripe rather than 2 thin stripes will make the
task a lot simpler. As always, we do our best to make our products accurate in every detail. In this case we felt that this modification was necessary. Roll over the image above to see a close up view of the stripes. |
